DIRECTOR OF MARKETING
Shana Sisk is a marketing professional with 16 years of experience in New York City. She has worked in media and with non-profits, strategizing and running BtoB and BtoC campaigns, and working in both the digital and traditional print realms. She has been the Director of Marketing at the Alexander Muss High School in Israel, she was the Associate Director of Digital Marketing at The Jewish Federations of North America and she consults for a variety of nonprofit clients and a boutique law firm.
She moved to New York City in the year 2000 and, after coordinating United Synagogue Youth's 50th anniversary, moved into the corporate realm, with marketing work at Tony&Tina Cosmetics, Vibe/Spin Ventures, The Deal and Haymarket Media, followed by positions at New York Fashion Cares, the Red Bull Theater Company and Joshua Venture Group.
When she's not marketing, Shana has been known to sing and perform in cabaret clubs throughout New York City.
DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMMING
Nneka Jenkins Thompson is a Senior Manager in the Center on Education and Skills (CESNA) policy program at New America where she focuses on building alternative education and training pathways that can lead to good jobs, but do not have to pass through traditional institutions of higher education. Nneka currently oversees the policy research and strategic communications for a growing body of work around youth apprenticeship. Housed within New America’s Education Policy Program, CESNA is dedicated to strengthening the relationship between education and economic opportunity through improvements to our higher education, technical training, and workforce development systems on behalf of the growing population of non-traditional and historically disadvantaged students.
Prior to New America, Nneka worked for Skills for America's Future, a policy program at the Aspen Institute’s Economic Opportunities division where she published Recasting American Apprenticeship and worked to improve partnerships between employers and community colleges. Nneka’s policy experience builds on years of program management and direct service roles including grantmaking at Commonwealth Corporation, where she specialized in the adoption of sector strategies as a tool for regional development and designing and delivering youth and adult workforce development services at More than Words Bookstore in Waltham, MA and Dress for Success Boston. Jenkins Thompson started her professional career in the corporate sector, working her way up to a senior merchandise planning position for the international Fortune 500 retailer, TJX Companies.
Nneka has an MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and a B.S. in Marketing from the University of Massachusetts - Dartmouth where she graduated magna cum laude. She was also selected as one of 3 National Association of Charter School Authorizer Fellows upon graduation from the Kennedy School.
DIRECTOR OF FINANCE AND OPERATIONS
Ipsita is a MBA major in Financial Management from India. She has a decade long career in Investment banking and Financial Services. She worked for organizations such as Infosys, Deutsche Bank, BNP Paribas and SunGard (now FIS) working with cross-functional teams in India, Europe and the USA.
Ipsita has a great exposure in terms of managing new projects, product development, strategy and working closely with stakeholders on a global level. She has extensive experience in analyzing huge volumes of financial data, working on complex financial systems and account reconciliation.
Ipsita moved to the New York City in late 2011 and calls it home now. She is pursuing Executive MS degree in Finance from Baruch College, CUNY and likes to travel and adventure sports instilling her love for nature and outdoors.
